London is an absolutely bustling city with a huge Fintech and general Tech scene and since moving I've struggled to get my head around all the events and networking opportunities. This post is my attempt to collate all the resources I have found in one place. This list is very much focused on items that would be of interest to a Canadian Fintech Product Manager moving to London so it might all be of value to you but I thought I'd post it as someone might find value. If there is anything I have missed please drop me a line and let me know.

Newsletters

RiseLondon - A London Finance and Business newsletter from Barclays

Fintech Alliance - A fintech newsletter. They also hold events now and then.

AltFI - Newsletter with a specific focus on alternative finance which includes BaaS providers, lending etc.

This Week In Fintech - They do regional Fintech newsletters.

Fintech R+R - Fortnightly breakdown of Fintech or Fintech hot topic from a Product perspective.

Silicon Roundabout - The largest tech community in Europe with a monthly newsletter.

FinTech Global - A pretty comprehensive Fintech news source.

Fintech Times - The Fintech Times is the world’s first leading Fintech newspaper.

Innovate Finance - The voice of global Fintech.

BIMA - The voice of digital and tech in the UK.

Zinc VC - Zinc is a pre-team and pre-idea incubator .

Slack Channels - Note these invite links may expire in time. Drop me a line for a fresh link if needed.

London Tech Network (LTN) - Very fast growing Slack group for the London tech scene.

ProductPints - The slack channel for ProductPints meetup.

ProductSchool - Huge Product focused slack group.

MindtheProduct - Huge Product focused slack group.

Fintech Folk - London, New York and Hong Kong focused Fintech slack group.

Shift: The Open Finance Community - Networking group with a slack channel.

Whatsapp Groups - These groups require approval but they let me in so the bar cannot be that high

UK Product Group - 300+ Product folks.

Startup Group - 400+ Startup folks.

Incubators & Accelerators - There are likely hundreds of incubators and accelerators in London. I've limited this list to the ones I've talked to which have a strong Fintech focus or run by a Financial Services company.

Level39 - The best fintech accelerator location I've ever seen

NatWest - Entrepreneur Accelerator - A general business accelerator but run by a bank. Really helpful group.

FinTech Innovation Lab London - Accenture's Fintech accelerator. Very helpful group.

Zinc VC - Backed by the London School of Economics Zinc is a pre-team and pre-idea incubator.

Rise Academy - Barclays bank Fintech accelerator.

City Launch Lab - University College of London accelerator.

Meetups & Networking

London Tech Network (LTN) - They run a number of meetups for founders and employees. Tech focused.

Product Pints - Product Management focused meetup group

ProductTank - The biggest global Product Management meetup group

Lunch Club - Random video calls with people from the local area. If you ask nice they will let you change your location to London before you move so you can begin networking premove.

C100 - C100 is the networking group for overseas Canadians in the tech industry. They have recently opened a London chapter.

Silicon Roundabout - The largest tech community in Europe with a number of meetups.

Entrepreneurs Collective - Regular founder and investment events.

London Connector - General business networking and investing events.

Shift: The Open Finance Community - Networking group with a slack channel.

London Enterprise Technology Meetup - A huge meetup group focused on enterprise tech.

Fintech Global - This is my meetup with chapters in London, Manila and Vancouver
